Bounce House & Soft Play Rules to Keep Guests Safe

Updated: Aug 1, 2023

We want you and your guests to have a fun, playful day together–without any unexpected ER visits! That’s why we have certain safety rules in place to keep both kids and adults injury-free, whether on our mobile soft playlands, our bounce houses, or any other rental equipment from Party Baby.

Safety Rules for Bounce House & Soft Play Rental

It is the responsibility of the person/s or organization hiring Party Baby LLC to ensure that all possible precautions are taken to avoid injury to people or damage to the soft play equipment.

Please ensure the following safety instructions are followed:

  • To avoid choking & slips: No food, drink or chewing gum on or around the soft play area. This will avoid any accidental risks and keep the equipment clean. (Please note if the equipment is collected in a dirty condition then the person hiring it will incur an excess cleaning charge.)

  • To avoid injury: No shoes, jewelry, loose objects in pockets, and/ or badges to avoid injury to people using the equipment and harm to the equipment.

  • To avoid slipping: No face paints, party poppers, colored streamers, or silly string to be used either on or near the soft play area. (Please note these products will cause damage to the equipment that cannot be repaired.). We strictly do not book with face paint/water play activities due to the high likelihood of possible damages to equipment and accidents in the play area.

  • To avoid falling: Climbing, hanging or sitting on safety gates or bounce house walls is dangerous and must not be allowed.

  • Supervision required: A responsible adult must supervise the soft play & bounce house equipment at all times. Parents are responsible for supervising their children, we do not stay on site for parties.

  • To avoid injury: No pets, outside toys, or any type of sharp instruments in the soft play area at any time.

  • For sanitation & safety: Socks must be worn on all playlands and bounce houses

  • To avoid injury: no rough housing on the equipment, and please adhere to the occupancy limits. Jumpers should exit the bounce house carefully, not jumping off to the ground.

You should also read our full site preparation and set-up rules here: How to Prepare Your Space for a Bounce House or Soft Play Package. This will help ensure that your yard or indoor space is ready for a safe installation of equipment–and there won’t be any last minute changes due to a poor location or unprepared area.

Please note that your bounce house or playland rental needs to be set up on a completely flat surface. If outside, consider placing it in the shade if it will be a hot day as the material can be hot to touch.

How to Put Safety First

The best way to keep your guests safe while playing on your rental equipment is to introduce the rules before play starts so there are no surprises and to set the expectation early of safe play. Here are some ways we recommend letting guests know about the safety rules:

  1. Inform guests of playtime rules before they start

  2. Always have a responsible adult observing playtime & reminding guests of rules

  3. Print out our safety rules and have them nearby in case of questions
